Now that all my jackets are together on one rack, in one city I love going through them and reflecting on the time each one took to bring to life.
There was only one jacket ever that the sample came and it was perfect and I made no changes and that was Chloe. Every other one went through various sample rounds to get the fit just right.
Today I wanted to highlight The Quinn jacket that I designed in 2019. When I was in my consulting days I would travel to New York a fair amount and it isn't the easiest city for quick business trips so making my wardrobe as simple as possible was always the goal.
I knew if I had one jacket that could be
1. Stylish and iconic in design
2. Warm (I was usually there in the fall)
3. Easy to wear with leggings, covered my bum, and easy to also wear with a dress or jeans.
I had also wanted a jacket that I knew would be attention drawing since a lot of what I was doing involved networking. People underestimate the power of clothing in these situations. I have mentioned it before, this is why the white croc pumps are so iconic because they draw attention without being flashy. They make an outfit look clean, elegant but slightly edgy.
